First long run in the training program....in -20C nonetheless:)
Met up with Stefanie in Banff and she showed me some awesome trails. We started from her house, run on the Hoodoos trail to the lookout, took Little Bear's Picnic trail to Coastline. Wow, amazing single track trails with incredible views. Not too much climbing. I started to feel really tired after an hour, didn't drink as the hose froze and only had few bites of the Cliff bar. I am going to come up with a different plan for the next long run. Coach wants me to eat and drink plenty and record these.
Shoes felt great!

Note

I got a new pair of Salomon shoes: S-Lab Speedcross.
I learned that there is a 2-3year warranty on their shoes, so I returned my Speedcross Pros as the fabric ripped on the side, I will either get credit or replacement. I am thinking of doing the same with S-Lab Ultras, since they're even in the worse condition than Speedcross - sad for such an expensive pair of shoes!

On the last up, I passed Adam Campbell:))))) Of course, it will never happen again and it only happened because he is still recovering....but hey, it made my night:)

The Trail Culture run got cancelled tonight as it was too cold. I survived one hour running in one place and staring at the wall...yay for me! :)

The official start of my training with the Coach. I am looking forward to all the challenges I will face along the way and I am excited to bring my running into a whole new level:)
