Up EEOR on a bluebird day. I was supposed to do 20min up then down, for 90min but I just wanted to go up and enjoy the views! The trail was almost empty, met a friend runner coming down and then one group higher up. It was awesome having the trail to myself.

A great morning run with Stefanie on a sunny and crispy winter day.
We did part of the High Rockies Trail, starting at the Goat Creek parking lot. The trail was nicely groomed by the snowmobiles. Once we got to the Driftwood Lake, we followed the dogsled trail right on the lake - it was awesome! We turned back at 10k.
I felt pretty good on this run, the time went by quickly as it was a very chatty run:)

I thought I would be fine running on sidewalks but they were almost completely ice-covered and, of course, I didn't have spikes. I did the best I could...the workout was supposed to be 90min. I took the trail by the river first then switched to sidewalk, then road.
45min easy run then 5min tempo + 2min tempo + 2min tempo ( I had to spread it out as I run out of ice-free pavement); finished off with 10min easy jog.
