Iceline Trail with friends
We started running around 8am, to escape as much heat as possible. Did the loop counter-clockwise. First section was mostly runnable till be got to the Laughing Falls, then we started to hike up to the Stanley Mitchell hut. We had a nice long break there, enjoying the surrounding views and the meadow. From there is was a run/hike to the Iceline Summit, at 2230m. Then the trail started going down - awesome running on a single track, rocky path, with the view of the Takakkaw Falls and the Yoho valley to the left and glaciers to the right. We decided to add few extra kms and run to the Yoho Lake instead of going straight down. It was so worth it and we all jumped in to the amazement of the Japanese tourists. From there, it was less than 5km down to the car.
Great day and super fun group!
