Gravel ride hills (Kayak trailer) 15:00 [3] 2.0 mi (7:30 / mi)

Got the kayak trailer built and attached to the GT. I am now adventure ready by land and seal but I wont be breaking any land speed records. The effort necessary to climb a small hill was surprising.

Towing it home into a headwind after celebratory beers at Crafty's was stupid hard.

Gravel ride long (LR100 prep/shakedown) 6:00:00 [5] ** 61.0 mi (5:54 / mi) +1039ft 5:48 / mi
shoes: The Monster

Last long ride before LandRun. It went kinda like Boathouse, east on Katy, turn around, west on Katy, Bangert...a lap around Busch and then we came back.

Plagued by mechanicals. saddle fell off early in the ride, backtracked to get it fixed, then later in the day I bent one of my chainstays trying to get rad on a downhill turn. Lost about 20 miles because of this.

Dried cranberries, papaya, mango, shot bloks and more dried cranberries kept the bonk monster at bay. Black Brooks is great.

Spent most of the day pushing myself to put down maximum effort. If I feel like this on Saturday I'm def gonna finish LandRun.

Gravel ride (Busch Gravel) 1:31:39 [4] 17.0 mi (5:23 / mi) +578ft 5:13 / mi
shoes: Vivica

Finally seeing some gains. Felt strong all night, charged as many hills as possible and definitely pushed my cardio limits. I've got good explosivity now, just need to find a way to keep the effort going. Had trouble catching my breath after the final effort, felt gaggy for about 10 minutes after.

This shit just never gets old.
