well you have good races and of course bad ones. First 10km felt great passed the first aid station hit the outhouse and headed out to the next section. This is where the hot spot on the heel started. by the time I hit the next aid station the blister had broken so I found some mole skin and put it on. After another two km I felt the moleskin coming off so I pulled it off. and undid my shoe a bit still uncomfortable. Hit the next aid station 25km with the hppy sight of Jeff the big man who had my other shoes and socks Whew...Stoped there for a while while Jeff cleaned up my blister and put a bister stop on it new shoes and socks felt great.
Next 15km went great foot felt alot better got to the turn around at 4:07 great only 20 behind AMH the leader and about 3min behind second place. Felt good for a bit longer then the bister problems started again, which made for a long second half of the race. This was definately not a great race for blisters very, very technical, you were either climbing or descending, I couldn't figure out which hurt more.
Anyhow learned some valuable lessons, one of which there is no BLISS in blisters.
