Raid the hammer started out taxed my duty was the mule so I carried lots of e load 4 litres. 25min my heart rate was almost maxed out. just trying to hold on 4 x the usual weight I race with and a whole lot of climb. first section was extremely rugged tunnel crossing in the water lots of trees rocks and climb. next section was better some bruce trail followed by a beatiful downhill sydenham very nice with a heavy pack. then we ran through dundas with a check point at the adventure attic, nice touch, and into warren park and the dv. mark was bang on on all the controls through the entire race. I only needed my map for one control in the matrix sweet. ran the valley section head to head with the youngster. the we got vetigo and had to do a penalty lap the good thing was they had to as well. snuck in the walk the line a head and mark as usual was bang on, felt some cramp twinges at this point so started fueling. next was the advanced section everyone was at that point close to cramping so we went gingerly through the forest as not to lift the legs too high and cramp up. I just hung on the rear and encouraged mark up the last hill to the finish for first place overall. way to go team...
