Orienteering 3:15:00 [2] 5.2 km (37:30 / km)
shoes: INOV TERROC 330

My first trip to Camp Barren Ridge. I brought my 8 year old Grandson with me. We had a great time walking all the trails at the Camp.

A surprisingly open forest, this late in the year. Pleased that the only boundary markers I ran into were Army Corp of Engineers. The only negative was the steep downhill descent into the Camp, will cancel any winter events if it snows or ices.

My hope is to create a low maintenance geo-referenced topo map with accurate trails, roads and buildings on it. I guess time will tell if this is a pipe dream or it can really be done.
