Control pickup at Deam Lake. Nasty Day rained the whole time, temps in the upper 40's. Jim and I split up each to pick up 8 controls. It took me over 40 minutes just to find myself on the map. Massive logging which left behind a lot offage and of course logging roads everywhere that were not on the map. In addition, a tornado had hit this area several years back adding deadfall. Once I found myself on the map, I went into a mode where I only looked at contours pretended nothing else on the map, also only followed contours on the ground. By the 3rd control I was in rhythm and completed my eight. Jim had to return to the truck with hypothermia, he was shaking uncontrollable. Changed clothes and ran the heater on the truck he was doing better by the time I got there. But he had the same trouble I did and only got one control before pulling out.
