Mapping at T-Lake today. I have a couple mapping days left to completely map the state park. Went up and down a lot today doing small creeks & gullies. Decided to go east and not have to go thru the Thunder over Louisville traffic. (Largest annual firework show in North America - the kick off for the Derby) It draws up to 600,000 people.

I have gotten a new pair of shoes. I thought they were trail runners but they are a cross between a boot and a trail runner. 1st shoe for outdoor trekking that I have found in 14 EE. I need something wider for mapping and long races. This pair will take a while to break in.

Mapping 3:27:00 [3] 8.33 km (24:51 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia 2015

Camp Stem went into a new area. I had to walk 2KM to get to it, decided to stick with the trail due to the hideous elevation changes. Checked out a couple caves. One them is a wet cave, you can hear the water fall at the entrance. Really don't know if trying to do a point to point for mountain bikes along with the Rogaine is wise. Very rough trail in places more than a KM where you would be going over number 9 rock. Still thinking on this one. I did find a couple old roads I will need to map further. Carried 90 ounces of water with me, preloaded with 20 before starting. Drank it all. It hit 85 degrees under a lot of sun. The lake seems to grow every year. This year it covered the return trail with knee deep water. I decide to cut up the hill early and avoid the ride home in soaked shoes.
