Orienteering race 42:08 [4] 2.1 km (20:04 / km)
shoes: OROC Spiked

Technical sprint put on by Ryan. Had to really stay focused on some of the legs. Muddy with a lot of thorns when you went off trail. Fun time in the near 70 degree day.

Orienteering race 18:47 [4] 1.5 km (12:31 / km)
shoes: OROC Spiked

Beginner course by Ryan. It gave some chances to short cut on a couple of the legs. Pretty day enjoyed running by the frozen lake with warm temps

Walking 23:00 [2] 1.41 km (16:19 / km)
shoes: Duluth Wild Boar

A little warmer today almost 20. The ground froze very unevenly in the field we cross. It was like miniature spot knolls randomly scattered across the field. Very hard to walk across.

On the way out of Stanbery Park on Saturday, A women had 1/2 the exit lane blocked. She asked me if I had been Orienteering - YES. Did I enjoy it? YES
Would I come back again to do Orienteering - YES.

I thought about that a bit on the way home. The park presents an interesting challenge due to the climb and thick cover of bush honeysuckle in many places. I could not navigate like I usually do. So it would be a good training ground to try out new methods of navigation.
