Not too difficult but challenging enough (physically and navigation-wise) to challenge me. I chose to do a shorter course partly because I only had a couple hours to orienteer, partly because my left hip has been sore since I slipped and feel on some ice 10 days earlier, and partly because I was going to help with control pickup.
I wound up at the wrong control when I was searching for 10/124 because I headed due west when I should have headed west-northwest, or better yet should have used terrain features more than I did. I wasn't too far off. It only took me a few minutes to figure out where I was and make my way to 10/124.
It was raining closer to home but we didn't get too much rain at McKeldin. The trails were icy. I didn't slip and fall on the trails but I did off trail a couple times.
