Today’s plan was to check the north end of the river after the frost melted and before the cold front came in.

The new stretch of path on the east side of the river that was just being started when I went out with ‘Bent is open. It is nicely groomed where the bootleg single track used to be. The bridge that was out on the west side has also been replaced with new wood about 50cm wide and away from the trees so access is handy in both directions making for a nice 3km loop on the north end.

Coming back I ran into some active construction on the east edge of Rogers Reservoir so I doubled back and headed home. I was dressed just right for the ride, but noticed the wind picking up as I was finishing up.
