3C river ride, basically taking a 20km detour on the way to pick up butter tarts for Frances’s youngest (and Mrs).
The frost was heavy enough that parts of the trail were quite slick. I was glad that I made a last minute switch from the Greenspeed to the mountain bike.
The new ‘bridge’ at the north end is super slick when wet, so I’ll have to pay attention to that. It’s design also lends itself to pooling water so it is a good glare ice candidate that could wash you into the river rocks fairly easily.
The wind started to pick up enough coming home that it blew my shopping bag of tarts into the front wheel a few times - it was pretty hard to hold the bag out at arms length.
There was enough salt out that I brought the Greenspeed in for the winter. It doesn’t fit well into the bathtub, so might not be as clean this winter as most.
