I had booked 90 minutes so FN and I could play some of th ecourse the PGA is at. She wasn’t able to make it. I almost had to walk because it was too cold (I hope that’s all it is) for my car to start. Luckily I have a spare. I just had to clean it off and move my stuff...except my shoes, which I was going to forget regardless.

So, I golfed alone in my Sorels. I scored badly on the first few holes. Once I got used to boots, and how my elbow was going to behave, and generally remembered how to set up and swing smoothly, I started scoring better. I played bogie golf for the back 9 with 1 par, 1 double and a bunch of bogies. That’s always been the best I could play. I just do it from red tees now instead of white.

I didn’t slice all day. A gentle fade (10 yards or so) wasn’t uncommon. Direction was off a few degrees from time to time, but I wasn’t going to worry about that hitting into a white screen with nothing to really aim at.

Practiced a bit of my short game after finishing the course and then left to get to the noon start of the Zwift Tour finale.

Zwift tour stage 8 group A

Huge group today. Double the typical size. That let me stay with the main group for the first half. Then I settled back into a smaller group for an interval. It splinted on a climb and I was solo for a couple of kilometers before joining up with a 6 pack for the last 5km.

I did have enough energy to pass 20 or so people on the climb finish.

Good workout and I match my Zwift 20 minute best power.

And...Garmin says my fitness age is 37.
