Smokie on country roads. 15C, clear skies and just a hint of breeze. Great morning for a relaxed ride.

In today's episode of cars passing bikes: on a narrow road in corn fields a car needed to pass me on a tight left. I was suspicious of him so hugged the right edge of the road. He turned far too soon, into the on coming lane then over corrected to the right - directly in front of me and had to jam the brakes to avoid driving into the corn, which meant I had to give full brakes to avoid his passenger side door.

Day 3 resistance bands and push ups - had to do something while waiting for the rain to pass, which it seems reluctant to do so I might have to ride in it.

Got tired of waiting for the rain to slow, so went out on the big unit when it slowed to a drizzle - thought I would ride while flight scaled the first summit of the day.

Finished work at 10:30 and thought I would take a marathon distance ride in honour of the cuddly pandas prepping for the death race.

Peaceful country ride on Smokie.

I did find myself puzzled by drivers who go around a cyclist a whole lane wide and then cut back in front as if you were a stationary object.
