East side river walk with Mrs. It isn't paved on the far side so very different. We did not scramble up and down the hill over the tree roots though. If I was a runner, this is the side I'd run on. Maybe snowshoes this winter. Assuming I resist the growing urge to get a fat bike - saw a really nice one for a decent price today.

(rest day)

Bike ride called because of migraine. These seem most likely to happen when my weight drop to 77kg. I don't think it is the weight...more the nutrition in the couple of days prior. I should be able to be 75kg, but have far fewer migraines at 78-80. A bit odd, but manageable.

The good news is that stairs Thursday means home Friday. I'm ok with a chilly morning ride.

Easy after work ride. I'm calling it Indian Summer since there was heavy frost yesterday and it passed 20C today.

Lots of squirrel fur on the road, usually within 20cm of a giant pile of leaves (they push them all onto the road in the Harrisburg area).

It might be the sleeping in season with the sun coming up so late.

Note
(rest day)

I might take a few of these for a small number of weeks. Today seems like a great day to just go and wander aimlessly.

Cardio (Trainer - legs) 51:48 [3]
ahr:129 max:173 shoes: Gekko

I warned something extra for lunch today so thought I would try some 500m sprints.

30 min warmup, then 3 tries.
#1: forgot to check gear so started up in 61, which meant huge cadence. Power average 212, max 292, 50 seconds
#2: gear 78 and eased into the power, too easy I to the power so average 194 max 277, 52 seconds
#3: gear 91 allowing 6 seconds to spin the legs up then tried to hold power in a 250-300 band average 222, max 315, 47 seconds. This is probably the right gear for this test.

In real life I would have to allow more than a couple minutes to recover from tries. As it was I was wanting to back off at about 400m and struggled a bit at 450m.

Cool down to wrap up.
