Day 2 free weights and push ups

Mrs. got up a bit earlier than expected to start our anniversary, so I toughed out one set of 100 pushups today. I was feeling it by 83 and by 95 my shoulders started calling me names.

Mrs. hasn't entirely embraced the Vacation A Month Club so I head to the country while she worked a bit. This is probably my favourite ride from the Pennsylvania apartment. I load the Garmin map after the obligatory leg elevation.

A nice warm 20C for most of the ride but the promised sun lasted for maybe 15 minutes - and I had even taken the time for sunscreen. There was a pretty strong SE wind so the outbound heart average was noticeably higher than the overall at 141.

Radar showed the rain having moved out at 5:30 so at 6:15 I headed out in the 12C wet, but not raining morning. I opted for the country loop and it was very quiet. The edges of the clouds broke up at 10km and when I made the turn back east the sun was coming out from behind the last cloud. The road didn't have time to start drying before I finished, but you couldn't ask for a nicer morning.

Day 3 resistance bands and push ups, after I got all the art on the walls ready to go home and it still wasn't drying up for a bike ride.

Pouring rain and not feeling the trainer, so might be a rest day.

Day 2 free weights and push ups
Nice enough for a ride outside but my right knee got twisted a bit too much yesterday between finishing the trainer intervals and getting the cycle grade compression off. I suspect I started getting off the Bacchetta before completely unclip ping.

Cardio intervals (Trainer - legs) 1:00:10 [4]
ahr:145 max:169 shoes: Gekko

Sufferfest: 9 hammers

3 threshold. 6 VO2max. A demanding session. Average heart rate in clusters of 3 intervals ran 146, 152, 153. Recovery heart rate dropped to about 130 after each hard interval. In the later intervals it was harder to bring the power up with cadence so I grabbed a gear.

I'll have to check to see how that compares to the last time I did this video, but I believe the recovery heart rate is 10-15 bpm lower resulting in a lower overall average.

Power: avg-195, max-362

Comparison to Feb 18, 2016: power numbers exactly the same. Heart average 151, max 174
