Day 2 free weights and pushups
Even though it was a sunny 30C out, this was the best way not to miss a delivery of what is probably the last round of bike bits before the last 4 go home.
And while there was still some waiting to do, I learned that I would not be eligible for a certified Everesting - no recumbents, and I have no chance of getting in the ballpark on a traditional bike.

30C. I believe the first chance to ride that warm this year. Windy enough to blow around the debris from yesterday's storm, but not enough to break off anything new.

Tons of traffic since I rode through the entire commute period. A good 200m of cars at a couple of lights.

Rain jacket test hike with Mrs.

I got the bike for the bike in bad weather and it should be much better on a recumbent than the light one I have now that is permanently vented under the arm - the perfect place to catch everything the trike front tires throw up. This one is a fair bit heavier, but still light and 4 vents that I get to control: a big one under each arm and a smaller one on each forearm. Today I left all the vents closed and the new Gore seemed to breathe quite nicely. Definitely rain proof and sheds most of the water that falls on it - at least in the moderate shows this morning.

Beautiful day for a ride in the country. Mid 20s, lush green everywhere. I'm going to quite enjoy having next spring off.

I beat the lunch traffic getting out of town so the first 90 minutes were very peaceful. A bit more hectic on the return, and lots of red lights - enough to drop what had been an average heart rate of 140 down to the finish of 133.

Nutrition: 2/3 of a home made cashew/pecan/date/cherry bar I made with my new blender jar - delicious and very easy to eat. Also one smack pack - which I almost lost when I got tricked by a new light cycle on the highway. I did learn that it was liquid enough that I could get some while it was dangling between my teach while I road through the intersection.

Day 3 resistance bands, pushups, abs
Much longer than this session usually runs, clearly distracted by the two way gut punch of medical news between 9:00 am and 10:30 am this morning.

and just in case Flight is looking in: that is not a sideways way of saying I'm sick. I'm in perfect shape for a virtual test ride of Betty.
