The cross bike was the only one with a fender that wasn't behind the recumbents so I took it out for what is likely the longest ride so far this year. Started north along the river and then took roads. Traffic was civilized except for heading home on Mulock. Interestingly the cars all gave me lots of room when it's name was Vivian.
Extremely mucky road and the rear fender didn't keep it from flying off my front wheel and on my shoes and legs.

Going against my norm, I drove up to Rogers Reservoir to snowshoe that area before the snow all melts (the rest of this week will be spent with the mom's).
The first kilometer went pretty quick on hard packed trail. After that there had been little traffic so it was slower going. I didn't generally sink much, but had to be careful of my footing so as not to twist an ankle because there were many sections where the ground beneath the snow wasn't very predictable.
Coming back on the east side of the loop, the snow off trail in the woods was corn like. I got back to my car a bit early so tossed my earmuffs and heavy mittens in the car and went a bit off trail on the west side of the river. I bet on one 50cm deep ridge of snow at the edge of a creek giving me enough footing to cross and came close to stepping in as the snow compressed and collapsed - it seems the running water had undercut the ridge. There was just enough compressed snow to keep me out of the water.
