weight training 39:00 [2]

Day 3 soloflex
11 AM

Snow shoe (Dion) 25:32 [3] 1.5 km (17:01 / km)

Snow shoe, run, fattie.

Interestingly on the day I missed PB races. I snow shoed while Nat and Flight traded off running and fattie on my too big for both of them FatBoy. Cut short because the timeline for picking up a new track bike shifted dramatically.

Mountain bike (FatBoy ) 1:50:00 [4] 21.0 km (5:14 / km) +95m 5:07 / km
ahr:141 max:166

North along the river to see how guest friendly the trails were. There hadn’t been much traffic in the woods section so it was a decent workout. I followed the track of one other fattie for a bit and was surprised to pass it when I took the river bank where he took the high road. I was then cutting fresh tracks through the open area, which is where my heart rate peaked. I looked back at the end and noticed the other rider had decided he didn’t need to go any further.

It was pretty sloppy on the paved section of the path and the bike got another salt bath.

Note
(rest day)

Giving the legs a day off, just in case it’s a busy weekend.

Day 2 soloflex and free weights
10 AM

Snow shoe (Dion) 1:05:21 [3] 3.76 km (17:23 / km) +101m 15:20 / km

It was too nice a day with fresh falling snow not to go outside.

There is now a fence blocking access to the terrain park on the east side of the railways tracks so Nat and Flight won’t be fat biking there this weekend. I did still have access to the golf course and was a bit surprised that there were no people tracks. The snow was mid calf in some spots.

flexibility 33:00 [1]

3 PM

Cardio intervals (iFlow/Bacchetta ) 59:25 [4]
ahr:145 max:169 shoes: DMT road

Sufferfest: the hunted

Road race in 3 parts: solo breakaway, TT20 climb, group break with sprint to finish. Heart rate holding pretty nicely at FTP but the legs are showing the lost muscle through December and January.

Power: avg-220, max-350

Monday Feb 5 #

flexibility 30:00 [1]

9 AM

weight training 41:00 [2]

Day 1 soloflex and free weights
2 PM

Cardio intervals (iFlow/Bacchetta ) 59:00 [4]
ahr:147 max:164 shoes: DMT road

Sufferfest: downward spiral

19 top end of VO2Max intervals in 2 clusters. Duration 2 minutes to 15 seconds. Recovery same time as hard. 5 sprints to mix it up.

My heart rate likes these shorter intervals better than the long ones.

Power: avg-208, max-425
