Closing ceremonies

I opted for a steady road pace while watching the Olympic closing ceremonies. The effort felt like more than the trainer power showed, perhaps because I didn’t have training queues as a distraction. I varied the cadence a bit but mostly kept a pace between 25 & 27 km/hr.

Now time to pack up bike stuff for the beach.

Sufferfest: extra shot

This is short so I added a 6 min warmup in front and a 7 minute cooldown with a power burst. The video is a TT20 a bit over FTP. Heart rate riding the TT peaked at 162 so I think I have more power to give. Also today I was seeing a slight heart recovery at 250 watts.

30 second power burst mid cool down peaked at 995 with a good hold in the 900s. I would have needed a higher cadence prior to up shifting to break 1,000 watts.

Power: avg-221, max-995
