Checking out a candidate TT route with Flight.
I left 21 minutes ahead of her and took a slightly different route to McGowan. I expected her to be 3-4 minutes faster than me per 5km, so we would likely meet around McGowan and Ravenshoe. I was a bit surprised to not see her in my mirror before I made the turn back at Ravenshoe, but I had good luck at lights, so might have gained a few extra minutes. As I headed back south, I got a message that she had missed the turn and was backtracking.
I saw her coming north about 7km of 10km back to Mt Albert, so turned at the top of the hill and let her chase me down. We road together for a couple kilometres before she ramped back up to her speed. I told her I would U turn when I saw her coming back, which was just short of Ravenshoe. The first 5km back was flat, so it took her a few minutes to catch me again and we came back together for the last 25km of the day. In the end I road about 2 km further, but her missed turn had her climb more.
Now to see how the legs feel about back to back days at Habitat. It seemed fair to try to support Habitat Young Professionals at the HYP Build.

Note
I had an all women crew at Habitat today. It was a great team and we got tons done. We erected exterior walls for 3 houses, and added extra bracing to a bunch of walls before the really string winds hit.
My legs are tired, but no more than they were yesterday, which is good.
Pretty much back to normal. It only took 3 1/2 weeks.

I went out a bit behind Flight to see if I could catch her return. I expect she passed me on the street while I was on the path. Once it was clear I missed her, I overshot south to St John’s to get a respectable short distance in.
Extremely foggy drive into Habitat this morning. Only the top 20m of the moraine was clear. A scary percentage of drivers without their lights on.

It was an odd day at Habitat today. Even with the fog delay, I was the only one there for close to half an hour. Then a plummer started a fire inside the concrete and burned a floor plate meant to separate homes.
Then a bunch of time moving premade walls that we’re in the wrong place - I was surprised who quickly the distance accumulated given we are working in a space for 20 houses. Then taking apart door frames and rebuilding them correctly.
Finally, we got exterior walls up for 4 houses on the first floor.
