Short version because I needed the alarm to get up for Habitat so was hurried. I hadn’t changed the alarm time to allow for 10 minute plank so skipped some other stuff. My second alarm in 2 1/2 years of retirement.

Trying to get Mrs for an outing before it got too sloppy - missed out by a doctor’s appointment and bailed early.

Note

My expensive bike pump stopped pumping more than 20psi 2 or 3 months ago. My simple checks made me believe I had stressed the connector on the pump end of the hose. After extensive procrastination, I looked to see if I could order a new one and found I couldn’t.

I sent a note to Silca explaining my problem and asking if I could buy a new hose. The offered to send one under warranty, without any concern for the age of the pump. While they were getting back to me, I swapped hoses and found both hoses worked on one pump, but not on the other. I did a complete disassembly on the broken pump and decided the problem was actually the gauge - and suspected that something bounced on it when we exploded two tires on the SUV last October.

So....I replied to the Silca email telling them my diagnostic process and the agreed the gauge was probably the problem and they were sending out a new one. Just the guage is a $65 part. The gauge came today, complete with the tools to mount it. 10 minutes later I could pump 160 psi again.

While whining about the lack of snow yesterday, I forgot to mention I managed 10:03 in one plank. 10:06 today, but I’m really not trying to get beyond 10 minutes. This was day 24 of the 3 day challenge.
12 PM

Cardio (Tacx/Bacchetta ) 1:30:01 intensity: (1:42 @1) + (2:34 @2) + (4:32 @3) + (28:25 @4) + (52:48 @5)
ahr:150 max:163 shoes: Specialized Comp mountain

Sufferfest: blender

I was a late getting started because I started the wrong program on the trainer and then tried to get my cadence meter working (turns out it got unplugged while I vacuumed) which failed. Then jumped into the core workout with minimal warm up.

5 part road race, mostly a bit under FTP

3 x an attack a minute for 6 minutes - 250-300 watts for 20-40 seconds

3 x 4 minute TT - just above FTP

I switched shoes hoping to alleviate some pain in one of the joints at the ball of my right foot. It seems to have showed up about the time I started on the trainer.

Power: avg-176, max-310
