6C ride up to the bike lanes on 2nd concession. As expected, all of the winter road grime is in the bike lanes. I also noted a bunch of seams in the paved trail that will be hard on the Greenspeed if they don’t get patched up. It’s probably time to get a mountain recumbent sorted out.

The rain seems to be holding off for a morning bike ride, but I have to wait to see if today’s service from Rogers can match yesterday’s incompetence.

Today’s Rodgers technician was the kind of person I would have kept on my team. In and out in half an hour, so I set out to get a river ride in before the rain. It did start a light rain about a third of the way back.

The trail was mostly muck, sometimes 6-8cm deep. There were a few sections of glare ice where water had ponded and a few short fragments of the winter glacier. The underpass at Green Lane has a good 10cm of river sediment over the trail. I was a bit surprised how much more work the fattie was in the mud than Vinnie was in packed beach sand.
