Front door, back door weather

Rain was forecast all day so I planned on weight training this morning, but looking out the back, the sky was clear blue. By the time I got ready and walked out the front, there was heavy cloud. I was pretty sure I could get a couple hours in before it really rained.

Traffic was heavier than I like. The commuter time just keeps stretching. The cars were almost all respectful. The exception was two cars decided to make a right on red while I was turning left on an advanced green. They seemed to want to leave me trapped in the middle of the road.

A bit cool, but nice.

River ride with Mrs. she was happy doing single track first today and tackled a tight little section she hasn’t been to before. She was also happy to charge ahead when she wanted to go a bit faster and set a pace she was comfortable with.

It warmed up nicely and was a good ride, though the urban portion of the trail was quite busy.

Now drain the legs a bit and finish the lawn (it needs at least two battery recharge intervals).

My blood should be working it’s way into the desired therapeutic zone so I went for a short ride at a higher heart rate. I felt pretty good but didn’t want to push it. I tried to stay mostly in the 140s and after 45 minutes took a couple of cool down laps to see how well my heart recovered by dropping onto to middle ring.
