8 AM

Pickleball 40:00 [2]

Crossed into light rain on the way to the court.

We did drills promising not to run or chase balls. Good practice of the touch and placement game. Bonus to have zero stress on my knee.

Note

Not log worthy, but played yard games at Musselman Lake with the fun pickleball group.

While walking there, I got a call booking my colonoscopy. I’ve been trying to get this booked for ages, so it was a relief for the specialist to call directly. I will take the heparin bridge this time while I’m off my normal blood thinners for 5 days. There was clear signs of clotting last time, so no need to repeat that. They did remind me that someone needs to be with me the whole time - mostly so I don’t convince myself it is ok to drive home.

Day 2
Gym
Minus two leg exercise: one the machine is still broken, the other machine was always busy
1 PM

Golf 1:20:00 [2]

St Andrews Valley practice

Very quiet today. It took a few balls to get my swing flowing, then my short game was today’s focus. After some full swings with my 8 and P, I did some nice chipping. Then came back to get a range on half and 3/4 swings. I’ve never really paid much attention to that, but noticed in March that I would benefit from having a realizable 35-60 yard shot.

Putting was really good: dropping one in three from 10-15 feet.

Pickleball 1:00:00 [3]

JP outdoor
Not enough people out to take breaks between games, but the heat had everyone pack up early.

Much better numbers. Heart=49, HRV=54
Still not getting as much deep sleep as I should, but I think I can close the books.

Day 1
Gym
Slow sets again today

Monday May 20 #

7 AM

flexibility 29:00 [1]

Number a bit better again, most important temp=0.1.
Heart=52, HRV=29, ready=55
8 AM

Pickleball 1:10:00 [2]

Outdoor at JP.

An advanced group had 3 courts reserved so we had 5 courts of people on the other 3 courts. This was the perfect setup for me taking a long sit between games - average about 10 minutes. I just played position and didn’t chase balls.
11 AM

Other warm up/down 27:00 [2]

It was interesting to see that Oura considered the time I pushed my mower to be a workout, but not the second part where I used the self propel on the hill.

I ran the battery too low to propel it back to the upper yard.
