Sunday Jun 16 #

7 AM

flexibility 36:00 [1]

Over 2 hours of REM last night and over an hour of deep sleep.

weight training 47:00 [3]

Day 1

Lots of people on machines, but near empty at free weight benches.

Took another day of minimal leg activity. I stayed home so I could elevate as soon as there was a hint of pooling.

Tidied the front garden. Made a pie with half of the frozen cherries remaining from last year. Refreshed a guitar. Uploaded spring photos to my computer - still need to sort them.

flexibility 40:00 [1]

Today my legs are at their greatest risk, so even with a good ready score of 90, and a decent energy level, I’ll try to be gentle with them.

Yoga 1:02:00 [2]

I went with just compression tights rather than prescription compression.

It was a good class for my needs. Slow motion with big, dynamic stretches. Some perverse balance attempts md twist. Some unusual core to finish, like crunches in an eagle pose.

flexibility 38:00 [1]

As expected, about two hours short of sleep last night. Oura still gives me an 85 ready score due to “reserves”.

Interesting that my lowest heart rate was close to the time I went to bed and rose as the night progressed. Usually it drifts lower through the night.

Wednesday Jun 12 #

flexibility 39:00 [1]

Slept an e trap hour today, anticipating being short of rest tonight.

Day 2

Funny that the leg machines didn’t want to free up....maybe they were trying to tell me something. Or it could be just that half are broken.

Pickleball 1:25:00 [3]

JP outdoor

Only nine of us braved the cold, so the breaks were tiny. All regulars so we were evenly matched and some games ran long.

I switched the days I normally do weights and pickleball because for the next three days I will want to minimize blood flow into my legs. I will be using air compression daily as well.

Golf 1:35:00 [2] 4.4 km (21:35 / km)

Lake St George north course

I played from yellow tees. I managed to stay in the fairway today, except for the first hole which found me in a fairway bunker. I just played clubs that work well for me so I could keep it straight.

A bit chilly, and quite windy, but still a decent outing.
