Cycling long (Canmore to Calgary ) 3:52:33 [4] 115.0 km (2:01 / km) +566m 1:58 / km
ahr:161 max:183 rhr:49 slept:7.75

I thought this would be a great idea!
So I had greg leave me in Canmore to ride home.
Except it was an east wind which meant headwind the whole way and I was riding alone which meant I had no reprieve.
Except breifly when greg passed me heading home from breakfast and I jumped behind the car. Except he seemed nervous having me a foot off the bumper and slowed down enough I had to hit the brakes on the little down hills then sped up quickly. So he needs to practice motor pacing. Or maybe we just open the trunk so I can yell at him.

I stopped in Cochrane for almost an hour to have coffee and food. By then I was 72km in and just averaging 30k/hr
The climb out of Cochrane killed that. Though I did PB it.
Then I mostly got it back but hit much path traffic for the last 10k home. So that was that. 29.7km/hr

:(

So windy.
The flags mocked me

Hiking (East end of rundle ) 1:47:21 [2] 3.64 km (29:30 / km) +620m 15:56 / km
ahr:119 max:158 rhr:51

We decided part way up greg isn't allowed to lead because he misses trail markers and doesn't know how to see a good line. And takes us into cliff and danger.
I found the path.
We continued
It was so smokey you really couldn't see much at the first summit. Went halfway to the next (and real) summit before we decided the smoke was getting worse as was the wind which is usually a sign of a fast storm so we headed down. By the time we got to the Nordic center it had blown over. So maybe the summit would have been achievable. But better safe than sorry. I had clothes for storm, greg did not.
