10 AM

Cycling (Path and round Mountain ) 3:35:00 [3] 100.6 km (2:08 / km) +463m 2:05 / km
ahr:132 max:156 rhr:54 slept:8.0

Road from the house and stuck mostly to the path along what was once a river. It’s actuslly pretty cool. Connected up to round mountain road and Then looped that back to the path the ran along the highway that becomes the sketchy little Mountain road we took to the springs the night before. The path sort of branches off and down at a state park and wiggles itself around to one pretty decent long but relatively easy grade climb (5ish k) connecting you to a ton of mountain bike trails.
You can loop back to a top road and cut through the old dump on a service road back to the main long path. There were almost no cars in the 100k

Which may have actually been slightly more or a touch less, my battery died on my device about 3:15 in.

Post ride shower, pack, snack and head out on the three hour drive to Orange County to see the RAM teammate and family and also prove that Erin is real.

Cycling long (Endurance hills ) 3:34:00 [3] 87.8 km (2:26 / km) +1216m 2:17 / km
ahr:143 max:167 rhr:54 slept:8.0

Too much time in the top or just out of my zone not on the climbs, mostly on the descents trying to stay on Nats wheel. Also he was ridin a zone higher than me so when we started loop two I told Nat to go and I would continue to tool around and meet at the car (he was also riding longer)

Then we hunted for the hot springs up the mountain we didn’t ride because it was snowing and when you travel to warm places to ride bikes it doesn’t make sense to ride in the only area that’s snowing.

We hiked around the wrong way for a bit but found then just as the sun went away. Hot spring beers and watched the stars come out.

Cycling (Post flight spin ) 1:33:00 [2] 35.9 km (2:35 / km) +48m 2:34 / km
ahr:118 max:151 slept:6.0

Up next on the adventures of Nat and Erin, LA/Bakersfield/Orange County

Spin along the ocean path after building the bike and waiting for traffic. But we got hungry and stopped for burritos than ate a lot of burritos then tried to find a unicorn store and decided we had to stop for the worlds best doughnut (literally) at the church key annnnnnd a salad bowl full of margaritas.

Then onto Bakersfield (it was close to 10pm when we arrived)

Cycling intervals (Soul crusher ) 2:10:00 [4] 58.0 km (2:14 / km)
ahr:158 max:179 rhr:47 slept:8.5

Same as last week.
No near vomit (though the night did have vomit as Ella puked all over herself, toys, and bed...so we cleaned that up).
Last 260 block was a struggle for the first 4min then I got over the mental block.
Definitely all mental today

Monday Jan 15 #

6 PM

Cycling intervals (Cadence ) 1:40:00 [3] 37.6 km (2:40 / km)
ahr:130 max:181 rhr:52 slept:6.0

Nat dropped off the Selle Dynamic that I really liked riding in Hawaii.
Put that on for spin pyramids.
I apparently have some super sensitive areas that still did not allow me to get in the correct position for fast smooth legs.

Called it after 4 of 6 blocks.

Ugh
