Wish I'd worn my HRM bc I'm curious what the data would look like.

Was so excited to be riding my bike again, but never really was feeling it. Rode Katy to Bangert, still frozen but all rutted up so passed on the trails. Out to CCL via a very icy Page bridge. Circled the lake on pavement/gravel, got yelled at by an older guy about riding the no-bikes gravel (I didn't see the sign, Mickey knew and didn't tell me bc he knows I'm a rule follower), back to the soft Katy (falling this time on the Page bridge ice) in a headwind and out toward Weldon Spring to the new paved Research Parkway trail and down Hamburg back to the Katy.

I felt like I was riding in mud all day, which made slightly more sense on the Katy but didn't really improve on pavement, and things really went south once we hit Hamburg. My hip hurt, though I'm not sure if that was from the fall or bc it's the hip I used to have trouble with, and then my quads started to cramp. A few miles down the Katy I was hurting so badly that I convinced Mickey to ride ahead, get his car, and come pick me up at Page, a savings of only a few miles but worth it just for the hope it gave me.

I don't know that I've ever felt worse on a bike for less reason. I'd stayed on top of eating and drinking, tires were aired up enough, no brakes rubbing, soft trail/wind weren't as bad as I've ridden in before, really no idea what the issue was unless it's just that my body needs more of a break than it's gotten. With that in mind, I'm not missing tomorrow's O meet but will most likely skip the Sunday Chubb run.
