Spent all morning at J's volleyball tournament and was STARVING but didn't want to lose our nice, close parking spot, so I convinced Jeff to walk to pick up Panera with me. He was very not enthusiastic about the plan, but I felt a million times better getting to move some after all the sitting.

Riding with my cousin for his first post-heart attack MTB ride. My legs were a little meh but overall it felt really good to get out, and I rode the scary bridge for only about the second time. Would have liked to ride a little longer, but he's easing back in and I was too lazy to go back out after we got to the parking lot.

Went in with low expectations thanks to even worse than normal training and was pleasantly surprised. Aimed for a steady effort and nailed it. 30 sec faster than last year’s time and only about a minute off my PR. Not bad for my first running race since January, but someday I’m going to do the training to see what I can actually do at this race.
