Skiing 4:00:00 [3]

Went skiing with Slava and Rianne and Lukas and Corni and met Melque (from my German class) and a friend of hers Christoph. We all went skiing together. Slava and Lukas are really good and gave me some tips-I need to face down the slope at all times.

I was expecting nothing from the skiing conditions, but actually it was really great! It was totally overcast, so it was difficult to see much on the slopes, and it was snowing most of the day. There was quite a bit of fresh snow, which was lovely. Also nobody else was on the slopes! I stuck behind Slava most of the time and tried to copy her, making lots of little, fast turns. We went off piste a fair bit, the Tiefschnee was great.

Getting lifts to and fro are pretty nice too.

Swimming 30:00 [3] 0.8 km (37:30 / km)

Went for a wee swim after skiing.

I didn't know I was so tired from skiing until I was in the pool.

Mostly front crawl, I think I needed about 30 strokes per length.

Some breast stroke lengths too.

Swimming 1:00:00 [3] 1.5 km (40:00 / km)

60 lengths at Höttinger Au Hallenbad.

40 lengths front crawl. I think this was the first time I'd done a km front crawl without being really interrupted. Took around 34 minutes. So it seems my breast stroke is quite a bit faster (just under 30 minutes).

10 lengths breast stroke, including two lengths underwater.

10 lengths back stroke. My back stroke needs practice.

It was nice.

Swimming 50:00 [3] 1.5 km (33:20 / km)

Swimming at Höttinger Au Hallenbad. I did 40-44 lengths front crawl in about 34 minutes. Then 10 lengths breast stroke, finishing with 10 lengths front crawl. I'm much happier with my front crawl breathing. I'm still probably faster doing breast stroke though. But I find breast stroke boring now, front crawl is still challenging.

This is the first time I've exercised properly in weeks, since I've been feeling shit with hayfever.
