Running 58:27 [3] 8.5 mi (6:53 / mi)

Ran with Kula to Outwoods, then crossed the road and ran towards Beacon. Ran up a random big hill (2 1/2 minute climb ish) and back down, doing this twice, before running back to Loughborough along the same Outwoods circuit. Felt ok, bit weak.

Running 58:00 [4] 10.0 mi (5:48 / mi)

2 mile warm up, mostly with Mike. The Gandy session was 6 x 3 minutes with a 3 minute recovery, on the track. I should really be doing more than this but I decided to just to complete the set session and go from there. Luke Cragg was great at setting the pace, and like a metronome pushed out 72 second laps for most of the session. Pretty much 2.58 through the k every time. Not great but then again, Im not very fit. 3 mile warm down mostly on Brockington.

Running 20:00 [2] 3.0 mi (6:40 / mi)

Wanted to double but I had to look after my sister Annie in the morning so couldnt get out until after midday. Just ran out 10 minutes and back along the Crosby road for 3 miles, as I need to get double days in again. Legs felt tired after fell run, but ok.

Running 1:02:00 [4] 10.0 mi (6:12 / mi)

Ran to the Sands with Tom, then he went on to do his run. I was meeting Kev for a hard 30 minutes. We ran to Houghton and back. Pretty tough run, Kev, the 800m runner (!) was dropping me, but at least I got a good hard run in, which I need. Ran back home feeling pretty good.

Running 1:28:00 [3] 10.0 mi (8:48 / mi)

Fell run. Ran from the old railway line up the back of Latrigg then up Skiddaw. Was wearing New Balance road running shoes so it was pretty slippy. Went over Little Man and then descended into some very deep snow. Going up the final ascent to the summit of Skiddaw it was ridiculously windy...I had a real battle with the mountain resulting in some whoops and shouts once I got to the top...I was a bit pumped! Sat down at the summit on my own for a while then descended carefully, actually crossing over to Lonscale in the final mile or so as the descent down to Gale Road is pretty steep and sketchy to run on in ice. Enjoyed it.
