Road running race 1:00:00 [3] 9.5 mi (6:19 / mi)

Cummings relay race. I was last leg of the team. Did a 2 mile tempo run before as i was just training through this race. Ended up racing okay and ran 13:54 for 2.7mile on a very hilly and windy course. Legs felt quite bad on the startline but were okay once running. Team finished third.

Along the farm road, past DL and to the football pitches. Did 4x1mile loops on the grass. Trying to get as much running done on the grass as possible to save the legs. Ran home via Renfrew road.

12x2min hill reps over at kilpatrick hills with Elspeth. The path we ran on was really good for uphill running so will be using it a lot during the winter! 6x2min took us to nearly the top so we did a long recovery jog back to the bottom and repeated that. After the first 6 reps though i was feeling really bad and was just going to call it a day but i maned up and continued. Im glad i continued as on the 8th rep i started to fly and felt really good. Pushed really hard for the remaining reps.

Easy run from DL to football pitches. 3x1mile around the pitches then back to DL. Done some stability and calf strengthening work with wobble board.

Track session with Elspeth, Casey and Christina. 8x1km with 80sec walk recovery. The wind was horrific so times were pretty slow. Didn't feel that fresh either but that's to be expected as I've had 5 pretty hard days in a row, so tomorrow will be a rest. Averaging between 3:10-3:15. Felt like i was at altitude again haha. 3mile warm up, just over 2mile cool down.

Grass 38:00 [3] 5.0 mi (7:36 / mi)

Easy 5 mile run on the grass with Elspeth starting from the DL and going around the football pitches. Each lap was 1mile. Felt quite good. Some stretching and calf/foot strengthening work afterwards.

Easy run out along Glasgow road then back through Hillington and through Barshaw park. Felt good! Really windy.

Steady run with the training group from the Elderslie baths. Good to train in a group again. Felt pretty good, although slightly tired.

Sunday long run. After yesterdays performance i was depressed with how i was running but today just proved what shape im actually in. Just so annoying i can't get it right on the day. Felt really good for mostly all of it and wasn't pushing pace at all, legs just felt good. Ran up to the braes, which is 4.5mile uphill on road, then ran on trails for a while before coming back home via Barrhead + plus loop round past DL. Pretty hilly overall.
