Ride in laguna with Trav snd Garret. Got to see a new trail, which is always fun! Some tough climbing and I broke my chain! Too much power, I guess. GB put my quick link in for me. (Thanks!) Trail finale was a sweet downhill section that left my hands tired from all the braking. Ha! Thankful for clean air returning and not such hot temps.

Took the club OC2 out in the harbor with a new paddler and aspiring adventure racer. We hulied (flipped) about a minute in to the paddle! Ha! Smoke was bad and he wasn't used to paddling, so we kept it to an easy 30 minutes - just enough to expose him to the sport and get a feel for what paddling is like. He says he'll be back.
