Running race 1:52:00 [5] 12.0 mi (9:20 / mi)

Set off at steady pace with Tessa. I was struggling about 3/4 of way round and she was feeling strong so we separated (I always thought this would happen but quite pleased to get this far together). From there on she got stronger and overtook a few ladies to end up second. I got weaker and felt terrible for last part, could beardy move by end. Was about 4 mins behind Tessa and felt totally wrecked afterwards. Hips, pelvis, groin pain. Quite tough to see that I'm still a long way off where I want to be. Positives were that I survived and that my cheer squad (David & Evie) were there at 3 different parts of run to help me through it!

Few bananas into a couple of control early on, then missed no.18 prob lost a minute but otherwise happy, mainly because I had the night off from Evie and it was a lovely sunny sunny evening. Rainbow over the reservoir on way into the finish!
Slight pulled left groin muscle on way to finish, probably ok with a bit of rest before weekend.
