Note

Golf at Clearwater - 112 (26 points).

Was in the lead at the start though there was only 7 points covering the field so anyone's game. Had an awful first half (9 points) in freezing cold and strong wind, but improved on the second half with my best driving of the week (where nearly every drive had danger everywhere). Was 6 shots off the pace after 9, got to 1 up after 16, 1 down after 17. Scores in our group 95 (Hodgie) - 96 (Jordan and I) - 97 Hastie. So plenty of pressure playing the last, finishing up with me on 98 and the others all on 97!! Unbeknowst to us, Curtis had had a brilliant round (given the conditions) and gone from last to first with 100. Superb course - best fairways I've ever played on.

Note

Golf at Pegasus - 101 (37 points)

Felt like the course was at the limits of my ability, so surprised to get away with a reasonable score. In the water 6 times, which wasn't a surprise. Hitting irons pretty well, but just as well I can putt.

Running 1:00:21 [3] 13.0 km (4:39 / km)
shoes: Nike Air Pegasus 30 Blue

From the motel in Chch, South to hit the Avon, then followed it to Hagley Park. Full loop of the park, then a loop of the Botanical Gardens and back the same way.

Feeling a bit tired, and struggling towards the end. Didn't enjoy the flatness.

Note

Golf at Terrace Downs - 99 (37 points).

Wow! Absolutely loved the course. Played OK too, though a number of mishits and can't seem to hit the fairway woods at all.

Note

Golf at Harewood - 101 (34 points - playing off 28 over the w/e). A bit better than expected. Nice course with great greens.

Running 44:09 [3] 9.0 km (4:54 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 31

The extended Avian-Avro loop

Meant to be orienteering, but Oli back too late from mountain biking and rain setting in, so came straight home and ran from here instead.

Feeling pretty good and sped up after a careful start. Legs still a bit sore, but much less hampered than yesterday.

Cricket 10:00 [1]

Drizzle turned up just as we started nets. Had to give up, so went for a run instead ...

Running 47:50 [3] 9.0 km (5:19 / km)
shoes: Nike Air Pegasus 30 Blue

The Dry Creek Loop ACW

Much less tired than yesterday, though not exactly full of energy. Still fairly stiff from Sunday. Legs had that 'tied together at the top' feeling, so was a lot slower than usual going down the hills.

Monday Nov 9, 2015 #

Running 35:56 [3] 7.0 km (5:08 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 31

Medium Avro-Avian loop

Stiff and sore as expected, and feeling tired up the hills.
