Cycling 52:25 [3]

Picked up the new bike from Lower Hutt and cycled home. Into a very strong wind at times.

Given the conditions, difficult to make any real judgement on the bike - will wait until I do the Whitemans Valley loop for that. But it did seem a lot lighter and easier than the Mountain Bike. Mind you, it was also a lot more jittery on gravel. Struggled a bit because the seat was too low and I couldn't easily alter it, so out of the saddle a lot more than usual.

Running 53:00 [3] 9.49 km (5:35 / km) +386m 4:38 / km

The longer version of the Cannon Point loop ACW

Legs still have a reasonable amount of residual tiredness, so will continue to take it easy given what's coming up next week.

Not convinced by the readings from the Garmin watch. Distance estimates are definitely on the short side (and looking at the track, it's obviously missing a lot of wiggles), but climb is probably too much.

Cricket 1:30:00 [1]

Nets at Fraser. Poorish turnout, so lots of bowling. Better than last week.

Running 1:22:31 [3] 13.21 km (6:15 / km) +646m 5:01 / km
ahr:129 max:148 shoes: Nike Air Pegasus 30 Blue

The Dry Creek Loop CW with extension to the end of the Kelson track and back.

A bit stiff and sore - very lacking in flexibility. Pushed a bit on some of the flatter sections, but was struggling a lot on some of the steeper hills.

Running 53:25 [3] 9.0 km (5:56 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 30

Running back out to Catchpool. Stayed with the family for the river crossings (fortunately, quite a bit less water), and then started running about 5 mins after getting onto the Big Bend track.

Not feeling quite as tired as expected, but the hill was still quite hard work. Obviously, running with the rucksack again.

Cricket 2:00:00 [1]

One-dayer vs Naenae on Naenae 2

Opened the batting. 32 runs, out to one that kept low (but should have been playing a more sensible shot). Good game. We did well to get 191 on a slow, low pitch, and then got them all out for 150 with a few overs left and things starting to get a bit tense.
