Day 3 of the Masters at Otaki (Manawatu Golf Club closed due to the weather). 96 (38 points) In the final group, starting off in 3rd. Appalling start - 7 points in the first 6 holes and was 8 behind Jordan at that stage and behind Hastie and Chris. But then it all started to click and played very consistently while Jordan had a couple of bad holes. All square with Jordan after 15, 1 up after 16, 2 up after 17 and played the last solidly to finish 2 up and get the pink jacket!

At Scotts Ferry. Reran the senior boys course from NISSC 2015, but didn't let myself take race routes (i.e. no path options). Think the orienteering was about 46 mins (6.2 Km) with a bit of a warm up and warm down. Found it a struggle to start with after not orienteering since Wales, but actually navigated pretty smoothly after the first couple of controls, and the running improved as well though still felt a bit slow motion. A little hungover too.


Day 2 of the Masters at Palmerston North. Very windy, so quite tough. 105 (33 points), which was equal best on the day.

Golf at Feilding. First day of the Masters. 103 (31 points). Some good shots, including getting the closest to the pin. But some right rubbish too.

Exact reverse of yesterday (i.e. extended Avian - Avro loop).

Still struggling with breathing a bit, but feeling quite a bit better. A bit more motivated to run given it was the same loop as yesterday! Fell over quite badly on the bushy bit - very slippery underfoot.

Hard work. Legs heavy, lungs felt like they were operating at 50% capacity. Not much of a surprise really.

Decided to throw some hills into the mix. Still weak, but quite a bit better than yesterday.
