Orienteering race 49:11 [4] 6.99 km (7:02 / km)
ahr:150 max:161

RKOC event at Osgiliath (inland bit) : 6.27Km

Rusty to start with navigationally.

Lost about 1 min on the way to 1 helping Larissa to find her first control which was in the wrong place (our no. 7). Lost 1 min at 2. Not confident and failed to spot the control - was not as obvious as it looked on the map. -15s at 6. Again just not quite careful approaching control. -1min at 8, again in the control circle. The rest of the course was fine, but got very physical - was very tired at the end.

Need to tighten up. Also need to do more running on this stuff!

Note

Golf at Royal Wellington with Alan, but had to play the Terrace Course as there was a competition on. 98 (par 70) for 35 points off new handicap of 26.
Some good signs, but not too good with the irons today.

Running 46:42 [3] 7.96 km (5:52 / km) +385m 4:43 / km
ahr:131 max:153 shoes: Nike Air Pegasus 30 Blue

The Dry Creek Loop ACW.

A struggle. Legs tired. Tried to push through the tiredness but it was hard work and fairly unsuccessful. Not helped by significant wind and rain.

Cycling 57:51 [3] 25.31 km (2:17 / km)

The Whitemans Valley loop ACW

Decent NW wind which was a problem at times. Slightly surprised to have been so quick as legs still a bit tired from Tuesday. Got a shot of adrenaline going up the hill though, when some w****r in a ute cut right in front of me for no apparent reason, missing me by about 10cm.

Rogaine race 2:59:18 [3] 19.97 km (8:59 / km) +995m 7:11 / km
ahr:136 max:160 shoes: Inov8 X-talon 212

Rogaine from Johnsons Hill in Otari-Wilton bush and the area to the west.

Fairly conservative given that I had a bad cold only just over a week ago and I haven't done anything this long for a while. Still felt tired quite quickly, so didn't make much attempt to run up the (many) hills. Managed to keep it together physically and it generally went OK otherwise except for getting a bit stuck with about 15 mins to go which caused a faster than intended finish.

Orienteering 1:00:00 [2] 5.0 km (12:00 / km)

At Catchpool checking a few things out for Susan controlling an upcoming event. Lots of scrambling on steep slopes, which was awkward as I managed to leave the o-shoes behind so had to wear the old Scott trainers that I gave up on ages ago.
