Orienteering race 43:17 [4] 6.0 km (7:13 / km)
(injured) shoes: VJ Falcon

CSW Event - Mt Vic - 4.2Km 320m

Not a bad course, but really struggled with the map reading, particularly the mapping of paths (really shouldn't be using Sprint symbols on this sort of course).

Struggled to get going after losing about 1:30 at 1, which was a bit dodgy. Clearly the more obvious re-entrant wasn't on the map. Then overshot 3 (45 sec), 4 was another dodgy bit of map - went to the wrong tree (20 sec). Overshot 9 as well (30 sec) as the patch of "fight" it was on was just some low undergrowth. Various other hesitations and wobbles - largely due to map reading issues.

Physically, think I was probably OK - bit difficult to tell on this terrain. Last control to finish was 125m with 65m climb!

Note

Golf at RW with Alan and Amanda. 108 (30 points). Worse score than last week, but actually playing a bit better. Apart from the 4 par 5s (36 in total!!)

Note

Saw Sports Doctor today. A few things ruled out. It appears likely that all the problems stem from weak adductor (groin) muscles. Or at least, that's the latest theory. Have exercises to do, and it's back to the physio.

Running 50:32 [3] 9.03 km (5:36 / km)
ahr:134 max:152 (injured) shoes: Nike Air Pegasus 30 Blue

From Cornish St up Korokoro Valley to Oakleigh St (the longer route) and back down via roads and reserves.

Felt generally good, though right side of groin was a bit sore after all the testing done by the doctor.

Cycling 1:01:47 [3] 25.31 km (2:26 / km)

The Whitemans Valley Loop CW. Little wind.

Seemed like hard work. A combination of the back tyre being a bit soft and me not having done much cycling for a while, both of which need fixing.

Running 44:35 [3] 7.0 km (6:22 / km)
(injured) shoes: Nike Pegasus 33

From near Tapestry - water tank - Guildford Spur - Avro.

Reasonable level of effort as getting dark and I managed to leave the head torch in the car. Felt pretty good though, and only minor discomfort from injuries.
