Had a very limited time so was in a hurry and a bit panicky at the start. Felt awful and assumed it was just the busy, complicated day. Kept at it, but by the time I was just short of the top (having descended from the car park at the entrance to start with) was really struggling to keep running, even on the road,
so stopped because I needed to get back. At that point I realised I had the sped-up heart issue again. Jogged back down and it eventually fixed itself fairly soon after starting driving.
Discovered it had actually started after only about 3:30, when I was back in the car park having not found the right route at the start, so not surprising I was feeling terrible.
