Orienteering race 41:03 [3] 5.8 km (7:05 / km)
ahr:143 max:156 (injured) shoes: VJ Falcon

RK low-key event - Osgiliath - Red medium 5.3Km

Good middle distance style course. Would have been really nice except that there were large pools of water in much of the lower part of the forest. Nearly knee deep in places and with branches hidden inside. Usually had to just walk and many routes were influenced by trying to go around the water.

Fairly scrappy run. Lost 1.5 mins at 8 when I mistook a track (unmapped) for a veg boundary. A few other minor small misses (think 7 was probably a bit wrong).

Didn't push too hard. Hamstring a bit grumbly - the soft terrain is harder work than anything else I've done recently. Haven't seen results yet, but apparently an Edwards family 1-2-3!

Running 1:06:35 [3] 10.46 km (6:22 / km) +495m 5:09 / km
ahr:128 max:152 (injured) shoes: Nike Pegasus 33

The Dry Creek Loop CW plus out and back along the track that leads to Haywards (but only up to where it started to seriously descend).

Golf course closed today, so this was a last minute decision. Very wet and slippery and had to stop at one point to shelter from hail. Felt reasonable, although the hills got to me a bit eventually. SI a bit grumbly.

Cycling 1:02:29 [3] 25.31 km (2:28 / km)

The Whitemans Valley Loop CW

Quite a strong W-NW wind, so speed quite variable.

Orienteering 24:44 [4] 5.0 km (4:57 / km)
(injured) shoes: Nike Air Pegasus 30 Blue

Sprint training at Massey. Just running an old course, but it was very long for a sprint (making the most of those bits where you have to run miles round). Good training - tricky. Ended up as a bit of a race at times with other people around.

Orienteering 8:51 [4] 2.0 km (4:26 / km)
(injured) shoes: Nike Air Pegasus 30 Blue

A second course (only the first half). Getting dark so had to use a headlamp. Again tricky and fun. Pain free.

Running 54:49 [3] 9.36 km (5:51 / km)
ahr:137 max:156 (injured) shoes: Nike Pegasus 33

The longer Cannon Point loop CW

Felt pretty good and hardly felt any injury issues, but was distracted by shorts that seem to have shrunk plus other stuff.

Going a bit harder towards the end when I was concentrating on running.

Running 1:15:03 [3] 13.22 km (5:41 / km) +351m 5:01 / km
ahr:131 max:151 (injured) shoes: Nike Pegasus 33

Johnsons Rd - ridge - Avian

Feeling pretty good physically, but not really pushing.
SI area a bit sore right from the start, but didn't get worse at all, though calf got a bit sore on the steeper bits of the big climb.
