Orienteering race 40:58 [4] 5.01 km (8:11 / km) +194m 6:51 / km
ahr:143 max:153 shoes: Inov8 X-talon 212

CSW1 - Central Park (mostly Southern part) - 4.0Km

Very physical as expected with some thick bits and some fast bits. Felt tired before starting but ran OK. Fairly clean. Maybe -25s at 7 where the control was too high up the spur, and -15s at 12 where I was looking for the wrong feature. Pretty sure Garmin has underestimated the climb!

Cricket 1:25:00 [1]

2nd day of 2-dayer against Petone Fateh. Good match which ended in a draw with them having 2 wickets left and still needing another 60.

22 runs, 3-0-7-1.

Cycling 58:26 [3] 25.31 km (2:19 / km)

The Whitemans Valley loop ACW.

Last week was OK, but a lot tougher going up BMR, and obviously not cycling-fit at the moment. Still a reasonable time especially as there was a reasonable northerly breeze.

Running 55:26 [3] 10.5 km (5:17 / km) +185m 4:51 / km

With the harriers. To KGMP round a bit of a loop and back. Had to cut it short to get back in time for a parent-teacher interview.

Was lucky to be in the front group as we must have disturbed a bees nest and the group behind suffered a lot of stings! Feeling reasonable physically, but that may just be because it was less humid at last.

Orienteering race 16:10 [4] 2.15 km (7:31 / km) +59m 6:37 / km
ahr:144 max:159 (injured) shoes: Nike Pegasus 31

HV Sprint - Taita Cemetery 1.2Km

A lot of fun on a 1:2000 map with 18 controls. The Garmin estimate of 2.15Km is probably quite a bit on the low side. Hesitant at times but generally handled it fairly well - very difficult to be smooth at race speed.

Orienteering 12:32 [3] 1.58 km (7:56 / km) +34m 7:10 / km
ahr:139 max:149 shoes: Nike Pegasus 31

Jogged round the short course (0.9 Km) as a "warm down". Concentrating on trying to be smooth and not hesitating, which mostly worked.

Running 1:11:58 [3] 13.37 km (5:23 / km) +328m 4:48 / km
ahr:137 max:157 shoes: Nike Pegasus 33 Blue

The Johnsons Rd loop CW

Didn't feel great to start with, but worked into it and running pretty well despite the humidity.
