MAROC local event - Dinnet South - Blue - 6.3Km

Low key, but good fun. Unfortunately only a few legs in complicated moraine, but the vagueness made the rest of the course a bit tricky as well and it was all very nice terrain really.

A minor mistake at 6 (15s) misreading contours slightly. Then a bigger mistake at 16 (45s ?) where I wasn't careful enough and got caught out by the vagueness.

Found it hard physically - just not used to terrain running and there was quite a lot of deep heather.

Lossie Forest. Running with the map from Day 1 of 2013 6-days. Various bits of the course forwards, other bits in reverse.

Navigation a bit woolly, but managed to get the leg where I made the race-losing mistake last time right. Physically sluggish, but partly due to lack of terrain running in recent months.

Luggage eventually arrived, almost 48 hours late. By which time I had to set off for Scotland. So more enforced rest.

Enforced day off. I arrived eventually yesterday, but my luggage, including, crucially, my running shoes, didn't.

On a plane very shortly, so didn't want to be too far from home in case of a puncture or suchlike. Plus it was blowing a gale.

Good hard session.

Feeling pretty good. Reasonable tempo for the first half, but eased off a bit.
