Orienteering race 58:22 [3] 10.0 km (5:50 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-talon 212 Black

SYO event - West Haigh - Brown -8.9Km 175m

The previously mapped bit was as nice as I remember it but more than half the course was in less interesting regenerating woodland. Enjoyable enough though.

Unfortunately my race was tarnished by the aftereffects of last night. Curry repeating on me and had to slow down fairly regularly. Finally got going in the last 15 minutes. Lost a minute or two through not being careful enough.

Saturday Apr 28 #

Running 1:20:05 [3] 16.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 33 Blue

From the quieter round through Ecclesall Woods. Bit of a loop then up Limb Valley. Up the steep path and across to the Clough. To top of Clough then Ringinglow, down Limb Valley and completed the loop of Ecclesall Woods.

Taking it fairly gently, but felt good and still full of running at the end.

Thursday Apr 26 #

Running 1:01:17 [3] 9.0 km (6:49 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-talon 212 Black

Loop of Burbage from the top corner of the plantation via Houndkirk Hill and Burbage Valley, with plenty of terrain running. Was intending to run further, but heart started racing at the top of Houndkirk Hill. Sat down and it only lasted a couple of minutes, but took it easier after that. Felt generally out of sorts, but was improving in the last few minutes.

Wednesday Apr 25 #

Running 1:03:07 [3] 13.0 km (4:51 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 33 Blue

Office - crags - HB.

Feeling reasonable to start with but caught in a cold shower early on and it took a while to warm up again. A bit slippery underfoot after that.

Monday Apr 23 #

Running 1:21:28 [3] 14.0 km (5:49 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 33 Blue

A loop of most Loch An Eilein plus the smaller loch to the South, and then headed East and headed part way up the Lairig Ghru track before turning back. Ended up in terrain for a while at the end as I couldn't find the intended route back.

A bit sluggish again, and not coping particularly well with the much colder temperature. Gorgeous scenery for distraction though.
