Sunday Aug 4 #

10 AM

Orienteering race 16:42 [3] 3.0 km (5:34 / km)
shoes: Air Pegasus 30 Darker blue

2 person sprint relay - Vic Uni.
Running 2nd leg after Kieran who came back second. Very hesitant start as wasn't expecting to go straight into the complex bit. Pretty good after that. Overtook Simon Teesdale about 2/3 of the way round thanks to a better route choice. Physically struggling a bit but kept at it fairly well.
11 AM

Orienteering 18:46 [3] 3.0 km (6:15 / km)
shoes: Air Pegasus 30 Darker blue

A second training course, though didn't bothre with the last couple of controls.. Some very tricky bits in the buildings at the top. The hard work over the past few days finally caught up with me - suddenly very tried legs.
1 PM

Golf at RW with Alan and Mark. A bit mixed but generally reasonably consistent. 98 (35 points).

Saturday Aug 3 #

Running 1:57:28 [3] 21.0 km (5:36 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 33

Reverse of 2 weeks ago, but from TMP (Moonshine - round top of St Pats Forest - Haywards - KGMP - riverbank).
Felt pretty tired but tried to keep up a decent tempo and largely succeeded. Quite a bit faster than a couple of weeks ago - better conditions underfoot. Possibly a bit shorter from taking a track through the forest at the top of St Pats, but a little extra at TMP.

Friday Aug 2 #

Cycling 1:04:10 [3] 25.31 km (2:32 / km)

The Whitemans Valley loop ACW.
Strong winds in all sorts of directions, but tired so would probably have been a bit on the slow side anyway.

Thursday Aug 1 #

Running 52:00 [3] 12.0 km (4:20 / km)
shoes: Air Pegasus 30 Darker blue

Harriers. Usual route to Pinehaven round the hills and back (ACW). Took it relatively steadily, but still some quite fast bits as we had several stops.

Wednesday Jul 31 #

Running 43:20 [3] 7.0 km (6:11 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 33 Blue

The hill session at Dry Creek (6 x (3mins up, 1 min down)). Found it a bit easier than expected - was I trying hard enough? Probably partly because I started right at the bottom, which meant that the last 2-3 were on some of the flatter stuff before it really kicks up again.

Tuesday Jul 30 #

Running 1:00:01 [3] 11.0 km (5:27 / km)
shoes: Nike Air Pegasus 30 Blue

BMR - Pinehaven - Guildford Spur - Avro (shortest route)
Intended to be biking, but the weather wasn't playing ball. Felt good after a sluggish start, though Wyndham Park seems to get harder and harder!
