Sunday Sep 22 #

Orienteering race 55:59 [3] 7.0 km (8:00 / km)
shoes: VJ Falcon

Score Event - Maungatukutuku
Unfortunately something went very suddenly in my lower back about 10 mins in. Couldn't run for a minute or so, but gradually loosened up, but from then on wasn't really racing and was concentrating as hard as I should have been.

Lost the game of bingo at 56, though got it the second time (but definitely not on quite the correct line from my attack point (4 mins). Then started reading from 42 as I was leaving 40, so missed out out 42 and had to go back to it (2-15). Missed 47, gave up and did it a bit later (-3 mins ?). So, plenty of time lost! Feet getting sore towards the end as well as the back.

Back very sore afterwards. Can't bend down, and lots of movements hurt. Think it's something I've done before but can't remember how long it took to get better.

Golf at RW with Alan. 96 (37 points). Best round at RW for a while. Pretty average at the start, though scrambling well. More consistent later.

Thursday Sep 19 #

Running 45:51 [3] 10.0 km (4:35 / km)
shoes: Air Pegasus 30 Darker blue

Harriers - reverse Lockwood with head torches, which I didn't know. Only got dark abiout half way round though.
Fairly decent pace throughout, and surprised how well I was keeping up. SI sore again.

Wednesday Sep 18 #

Running 23:41 [3] 4.0 km (5:55 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 33

Intending to do the short Avian-Avro loop but had to turn back just after half way because of logging, so just jogged up to the top of the road and back.
Only a couple of hours after getting home so taking it very gently, nit that I had much choice about that I suspect. SI sore right from the start. It was actually OK on Sunday after the pain on Saturday evening, but 24 hours on a plane probably hasn't helped.
