Note

Golf at RW with Alan. 106. The sublime and the ridiculous. Worst 6 holes, 50 shots, best 6 holes 20 shots!

Cycling 56:34 [3] 25.31 km (2:14 / km)

The Whitemans Valley loop CW
Obviously getting the bike serviced has made a difference - quickest time for a long time despite a fairly strong northwester. Feeling pretty good once I got going though.

Orienteering race 25:39 [4] 4.34 km (5:55 / km) +154m 5:01 / km
shoes: Air Pegasus 30 Darker blue

O-Max Wellington College
Enjoyable sprinting round the college plus a loop up to the top of the Mt Vic. ridge which was pretty brutal. Generally good round the college though possibly one or two suboptimal routes. Lost a bit of time at 18 where I thought the control was going to be next to the fence but it wasn't. A few seconds on 21 where I assumed Laura knew what she was doing!
Physically struggled a lot with the climb, though going well otherwise.

Running 1:03:36 [3] 10.11 km (6:17 / km) +363m 5:20 / km
shoes: Nike Pegasus 33

Tunnel Gully from Mangaroa - twisty varied route, not getting further than the Station Link (?) MTB track.
As seems to be normal at the moment, took a while to get going but improved as the run went on.

Running 1:09:39 [3] 11.0 km (6:20 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 33

Dropped off near Tapestry - riverbank - tip track - Avian
Really struggled to get going, but got into a good tempo going up the hill, and actually felt better than expected. Probably helped that it started raining a bit, lowering the temperature.

Sunday Dec 15, 2019 #

Running 1:35:08 [3] 15.0 km (6:21 / km)
shoes: Air Pegasus 30 Darker blue

From Cornish Street up the steep track - Korokoro - Oakleigh St - Belmont Trig - Korokoro Stream.
As expected, groin no more than an irritant while running at a fairly gentle speed. Feeling generally a bit stiff and sore though.
