Sunday Feb 2 #

Running 1:37:14 [3] 16.0 km (6:05 / km)
shoes: Nike Air Pegasus 30 Blue

From Hill Rd up the new track and down the 4 degree track to Stratton St. Up Cannon Head (for the first time in many years), back via Boulder Hill, Airstrip, N. Spur.
Extremely windy which made the ridge running rather interesting. Feeling pretty good though apart from right heel being a bit sore again.

Cricket 1:20:00 [1]

1st day of 2-dayer v Wainui.
25 wickets in the day and we're probably just in front. Fairly forgettable personally. LBW for 6 first ball after the lunch break.

Friday Jan 31 #

Cycling 56:51 [3] 25.31 km (2:15 / km)

The Whitemans Valley loop ACW
Possibly the fastest I've done the loop in this direction. And with a pretty strong northerly as well, though it seemed OK for the first half of the valley. Felt like hard work getting up the hill so was surprised by the time.

Thursday Jan 30 #

Running 48:26 [3] 9.84 km (4:55 / km) +157m 4:34 / km
shoes: Air Pegasus 30 Darker blue

Harriers - Lockwood ACW
Variable speed - some sections chatting some sections running reasonably hard. In good shape physically if not mentally.

Wednesday Jan 29 #

Running 49:31 [3] 7.22 km (6:51 / km) +361m 5:29 / km
shoes: Nike Pegasus 33 Blue

From the Silverstream riverbank car park, up the N. KGMP steep track, down the ridge track and back through KGMP.
Coped reasonably well with the hill. Right heel a bit sore coming down the ridge track.

Tuesday Jan 28 #

Cricket 1:45:00 [1]

Nets at Fraser. A welcome lack of niggles.

Monday Jan 27 #

Orienteering race 11:27 [4] 2.4 km (4:46 / km)
shoes: Air Pegasus 30 Darker blue

LMS Sprint Relay - Devon Intermediate
Only a 2 person relay, man then woman. Running M50. No split controls but 2 phi loops to split people up. Surprised to find myself in the lead almost right away, but then read the wrong leg in the first phi loop and started going 2->9. Went into a dead end while correcting, lost about 15s and came out just behind Carsten and Guy. Got ahead again fairly quickly and stayed in the lead with Carsten just behind. Unfortunately he had the same course so although the air part of his SI-Air wasn't working properly so he was losing a bit of time at each control, I was having to do all the navigation. Finally got a bit more of a lead over the last couple of legs and it was then about a minute before the next runner, Jon McComb came in. Unfortunately, his wife is a bit quick, and Susan couldn't stick with her when she came past. We ended up third.
A lot of fun.
